So the past few weeks I've been getting back into and re-watching the great one's I used to be into when I was younger. Just finished Cowboy Bebop last night, watched Elfin Lied before that, Neon Genesis. I watched half of the Ghost in The Shell movie last night, gonna finish the whole series and move onto something else after that, but I dunno what. A lot of anime is cheesy and shitty, I want some more good ones like what I've listed.

Yeah dude same here lol I haven't watched anime in like years but recently I rewatched Samura champloo and it was great. I miss watching Cowboy Bebop on Adult swim, really good show. I might watch Inuyasha or something, always loved that show when I was younger but never finished all of it

I've been out of the loop for like 5 years or something.. I have no idea what animes that have come out that are good

I can't handle the exaggeration of emotions in anime.

I tried watching WataMote a few days ago because I really enjoyed reading it, however it was to much for me.

The ones you had listed are all favorites, I would have listed those too if you hadn't already.  It's always been hard to wade through the sea of crap anime.

Goldenboy is awesome
Berserk and the remake is pretty good 3 parter is pretty decent
Ninja Scroll the movie
Magical Arcade Abenobashi was...interesting and strange
Deathnote...wanted to hate it, got sucked right in
Armitage
Battle Angel
Dragonhalf
Escaflowne
Full Metal Panic Fummoffu...didn't care for the non "Fummoffu" ones though

Photon: The Idiot Adventures
Ping Pong Club
Princess Mononoke
Kenshin OAV and series is decent

Berserk is definitely not good as the anime lol it's the biggest cliffhanger and doesn't explain anything. The manga is badass though, although I stopped keeping up with it because the mangaka will be dead before he finishes the damn thing

haha true, they ran out of funding for the series or something...still enjoyed the ride to the completely infuriating ending though lol.  Did you check the Berserk Golden Age Arc 3 part? it was kind of weird with the animation the way it was...but i didn't hate it I guess.

My buddy reads the manga, or did atleast.  Said it was amazing.

If you liked the anime but hated the cliffhanger, you'll absolutely love the manga assuming you don't mind reading manga. It's on a whole different level of awesome. Like said, it's just slow on updates lately

Goldenboy was hilarious.. I've seen pretty much all the suggestions here, none of those are new animes haha

Code Geass is pretty sick ive seen that a few times over, it has some cheesy moments i tend to skip over all of that. Blood plus, death note, and samurai champloo are pretty dope too. I like a compelling and intelligent storyline and good action, no fluff so i feel ya breh.

I remember loving inuyasha as a kid and i watched it again like a year ago and I couldn't stand it at all. :lol:

Yeah def not new lol might be new to op though.

Yeah the manga...I remember my friend was always waiting for the next graphic novel to become available and it was always delayed or maybe had an indeterminate release date.

It is hard to find new anime that is actually good.  I think the last thing I watched was Desert Punk and that isn't new at all either.

Okay i liked Samurai Champloo
Yu Yu Hakusho, plus the movies and OVAs- rebel demon hunter
Naruto (kiddish but i had my reasons, an ex used to be into it)
Naruto Shippuden (only because once your in an anime you got to finish it, but i can't because they are all in Japanese!!!!

Toyko Ghoul-new one i just started in about demons
Ghost Stories - pure campy fun. google it and watch when high
knights of sirdonia on netfllex- was very nice, trippy at times, brought back a childlike wonderment

Space Dandy is the shit

Mushishi is kinda trippy and interesting

Attack on Titans is a captivating one with some awesome action

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is a classic

I'm currently watching One Punch Man which is kinda cheesy but also pretty funny

Blood Blockade Battlefront

I enjoy the action and comedy based ones the most. I guess you gotta develop a certain taste for it though

I used to love so many, I still go back and watch them all the time but I guess now that I'm older some of them have a little bit of corniness I never noticed before, Inuyasha specifically but it'll still always be one of my favorites, I remember tuning in every week for the new episode :awesome:

Bleach I'm actually still a big fan of, I'm hoping they'll bring the anime back when the Manga ends
Naruto I outgrew bigtime but when I was younger I had already watched so much I felt obligated to finish it, shippuden is way better than the original series and im hoping the 9000 filler episodes will end since it's almost over and I can finally be done with it, fucking show has more fillers then actual episodes at this point

I'm forgetting a bunch, but even the ones I outgrew, a joint and a few episodes bring back so many good memories and feels :awesomenod:

I'll update more when I get home, I still have my collection of them on DVD somewhere

Nice sig lol. Yeah I been watching it myself after my friend wouldn't shut up about it. By the way he described it it sounded like an anime version of Superman with humor which just sounded boring to me. But that show's actually pretty damn funny for an anime and the best animation I've seen yet.

Most of my favourites have already been listed but if you're into shit that is pretty surreal then the mini anime "Pet Shop of Horrors" is a must.  It's only 4 episodes so you cant watch it in about an hour.  Like most anime though, watch the subbed version over dub, dubbing ruins almost all anime, for me at least.
