Just wondering if anyone on the Shroomery is into anime. If so post your favorite anime. I just wanna discuss anime.


My favorite has to be FLCL ( Fury Cury/Fooly Cooly )

I don't much care for it, except for Miyazaki films. I can't get enough of those. Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke are among my favorite movies of all time.

I LOVE both of those movies. Miyazaki is truly a great man.

I'm diggin Naruto right now. Though I am kinda mad that it is on Toonami because they make EVERYTHING mainstream. I've been watching ahead though and reading the manga so watching it on tv is kinda pointless.

Watched Full Metal Alchemist when it was first coming over on fansubs, some of those fansub groups are pretty damn good. A cousin got me watching anime when I was a kid; Akira, The Venus Wars, some other ones too I can't remember. Haven't watched much lately, last one was Excel Saga I think.

Anyone ever heard of Robotech, not sure if it would classify as anime but we have the entire collection sitting around the house and i have yet to watch it, its supposedly pretty good though

I love fansubs. It is like being ahead of the curb with everything. Have you seen the fan made Dragonball AF ? I'm not usually one for the whole Dragonball series but pretty much only fans made a decently long season of DB.

I've seen one episode its giant robots that can change into either a humaniod shooter, a jet fighter, or a mix of the two killing off invading aliens from what i saw and the game depicts. and yea toonami does kill everything by making it mainstream but without toomami some good animes would never get out there

I can't deal with DragonBall, they drag shit on for way too long. But if it's not like that, and if it's not as bad as every piece of fan-fiction I've seen it may be worth a look?

GITS: SAC was a great series too, haven't gotten around to checking our 2nd Gig yet...is it worth it?

Yea I have heard good things about Bastard! Most Japanese anime ( as well as music groups/artists) just choose random english words and might even add in a ! o? here and there simply because the Japanese LOVE English words according to a bunch of Translated Japanese magazines like Shojo Beat.
