hi all :smile:

so just a quick question....about how long on average should i expect to wait to see growth if i plate spores on agar at room temperature and 30C?  i have sealed my plates up with parafilm.  i just put one batch in 30C and one at room temp.

I guess it depends on the strain and species but I had the experience that they usually show the first sign of growth between 10 - 25 days at 20 degree Celsius.

i've used several different spores, and ALL had fuzzy white stuff before ten days. some are kept at about 65degrees F and others at 84 or so...a couple strains i have look like they'll be completely colonized in 4 days, and they were started on the 13 of january.
