centipedes do not typically have 100 legs...the # of legs actually vary by species...up to 177 pairs of legs. They have 1 pr. of legs per segment vs. millipedes which have 2 pairs per segment.

The common side blotched lizard has 3 male morphs. Orange throated, Blue throated, and Yellow throated.  The orange ones guard large territories and keep harems of females. The blue ones guard smaller territories and keep only one female. the yellow ones guard no territory or females, but instead, they mimic females and sneak matings from orange or blue lizards' females (mostly orange)

I was on a ranch. A cow came up to me. I hugged it. It followed me around until I gave it another hug, then it would just stand there letting me hug it. This went on all day. :smile:

I've hugged horses, too, but they're more like cats - when they're done with the loving, they just walk away.

Dust makes you fat (to dumb it down for the general public).

It has been shown that common household dust particles tend to accumulate aromatic polybrominated flame retardants among other chemicals that acts as ligands and in many cases agonists of the human PPARγ receptor that in turn drives adipogenesis. The amounts ingested by humans are relevant to these effects.

I knew about Temple decades ago from Oliver Sacks' books but my friend made an Emmy winning movie about her.  When I saw the movie I called her right away and said, "you just won an Emmy".  And she did.  Claire Danes played Temple.

It really was an awesome movie.  Emily deserved it .

there is a blind spot in both of your eyes  if you look straight with your right eye and have a white piece of paper with a black dot on it, the dot will disapear when you put it over the blind spot. its like in the upper right quadrant of the eye, or upper left for the left eye.

The vision of your left visual field goes to the right hemisphere of your brain and the vision of your right visual field goes to the left hemisphere.  This is true of both eyes
