Denial
    #2215429 - 01/02/04 04:38 PM (20 years, 2 months ago)

I think it is a good thing, like pretending that we are not going to die. But then I also have a special place in my heart for blame. I know that when bad things happen it is usually your fault.

Gospel According to Swami

and by "your" you mean... ? Swami?

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

WRONG! When bad things happen it is because the Devil posesses you and makes you do his evil bidding

You always drop de'bomb on poor ole S/P.Shit Swami, you keep making people think about their presuppositions and who knows what might happen :nut:

Denial of something that has happened is pointless and unhealthy.. acceptance is key. How can you not accept something that has happened? One more step further away from reality, I guess.

By the way, I'm not talking about "it is the way it is, just accept it", either. Change is still allowed..
Peace.

I'm not a big fan of denial myself.

Hey fireworks_god, is that a picture of Disco Stu rolling up a dollar bill(presumably to snort coke with it)? Also, is Jonathan Davis of Korn the lead singer of In Flames?

Damn, man, I really enjoyed that. hehe. It is Disco Stu rolling up a dollar bill, and they led everyone to believe he was going to snort up some coke, but at the last minute, he used it to suck up some sugar. It was the one that Marge was going door to door to get a class action suit agansit the Mother Loving Sugar Company, or something.. Disco Stu's going on about how he's been addicted to the "white stuff" and everything...

As for the lead singer of IN FLAMES, Serj Tankian from System of a Down would also be a valid guess as well, since he can tend to look like him as well. But that's Anders, the loveable ole' Swedish death metal vocalist.
Peace.

I forget which perspective this is, but denial is a body's defense mechanism. Denial is natural, and arguably healthy! It is to prevent the body and mind from suffering a overwhelming shock (the truth).

But let the truth set you free!
