It gives me a watered down xanex effect, nice for anxiety but still very clear headed. If combined with alcohol I pretty much blacked out.

Nononono, when I chewed the root it was WAY more pleasant than alcohol, tingles all over, even a bit of CEV, decent euphoria.

I like the taste of alcohol and really do think kava tastes like seemen.

Ive used kava off and on for a few years. Basically its ok if there's no MJ to be found. The aerial parts of the plant are hepatoxic, the roots are what ya want. Yeah diff varieties offer slightly diff effects based on the chemotype of the plant. Recreational value is decent, as a sleep aid it owns. Knock back a few, get 5hrs sleep and you feel like ya got a solid 8.

If ya want a more perky cerebral feel look for a cultivar high in kavain. Looking for more sedative action, get higher DHM%.

Thanks for your input man! I've been trying to lay back on weed recently. Weed just makes me too lazy and costs a ton. While I enjoy it a lot, i need to limit my smoking to once a week at most.

Kava just caught my eye as something that looks enjoyable. Kinda similar to how kratom did.

No problem man. Kava isnt for everybody but it's worth a shot. Skip all the pills, tinctures and shit. Just get some ground root powder. Old school like the natives. Do a little research on strains and reverse tolerance and have at it. Hope it works out for ya.
