The fish in the photo's a coy carp. They are just slightly less ugly carp, still just as shit for the waterway and will outcompete must native species. Distant relative of the goldfish, but goldfish don't grow that big if you flush them down the toilet. They are a big problem here in Aus.

I think these are actual goldfish, they're more along the lines of what I see in quarries here in the US. I think people actually bring them there and release them.
