a piece of poetry

i have just written a poem, and i hope you will all understand it, the lyrics are pretty straightforward, and im wondering if you will all give me your honest opinions of my songwriting abilities. well... maybe not entirely honest...  :wink: anyways, here it is:

loss:

having no voice to vent my rage, i suffer
having no wish to voice my pain, im resigned
loss is a part of life that requires attachment
i draw deep from the well hidden inside

weary thoughts in my mind of betrayal
staring so hard i forgot to see
wandering down this lonely trail
from my life is gone, this part of me

i have sought to end it all
but this is the farthest i will fall
i will not give in to the will of my flesh
my mind sought control, reeling in haze...
is this how ill spend the rest of my days?
lingering unwanted and abused, to scarred to commit to
a perfect future without you

weary thoughts in my mind of betrayal
staring so hard i forgot to see
wandering down this lonely trail
from my life is gone, this part of me
