An Idea For the Quick Reply Situation
    #2189441 -

Maybe instead of the script we have right now where you *have* to click the corrosponding post in order to quick reply, you could just make it so whenever someone uses quick reply without clicking the post (either accidentally or intentionally), that users post just says "quick-reply" nest to it. Here, I photoshopped an example, since I may have not explained it too well:

I believe this would clear up confusion when people forget to press the correspoding QuickReply link, while at the same time, save the trouble of being forced to press the link and having that annoying popup come up.

Please let me know if this could work, and why/why not...

This is no solution, Re: has to be to a post. This is how this board software is designed.

> save the trouble of being forced to press the link

Just how difficult is it to press the Quick reply link?

There is apparently a problem with that in regards to viewing in threaded mode.

Thats cool, anno, it's not a big deal for me to have to press the link, it was just an idea I had that I thought might work, but I don't really know much about the software or what you can change, etc...

About as difficult as it is to tell who a person is replying to by the context of their post
