But still she could say she found them by your car. I'm pretty sure any amount of money you try claiming as missing will need proof of income or gift. The DA won't throw charges it doesn't have in the bag. Might be totally wrong though, please point out if I am. I think you should just focus on the fraud and the plasma tv.

I could see you explaining this to an investigator being a very short interaction.

well she is the landlords daughter, has access to the keys of his room etc., plus she got caught with his checks, they wont have any trouble putting two and two together.

OK in the States a public defender could poke enough holes in that story to significantly lower the plea deal. She's for sure screwed on fraud but the b&e and money aspect will never have proof without reasonable doubt because imo there is reasonable doubt.

But I don't know anything about Canadian law soo there ya go.

I rented the basement of the house her dad lived in and owned.
She moved in only recently because of money problems.
She knew I payed with checks she knew where my room was she knew I was in hospital.
Wouldn't take much more to believe she broke in and stole the checks.

I already warned you of the dangers of laying unlabelled blotters of poison in TPE. In fact I mentioned this very fucking scenario. maybe this is how alot of the news stories about RC overdoses happen.

Money is pretty different from personal checks. It would be very easy for him to prove that she committed robbery; whether he's in the states or Canada.

Also public defenders typically don't bother poking holes in stories.
They just do what they're required to do.
I've never seen a public defender take their own initiative to fight for a better plea deal.
