What if what Zombi3 refers to as God is merely the collective effort of multiple thoughts thinking into existence his recovery?  Thoughts can be a powerful thing, enough to heal someone's body maybe?  Who knows.  I know that I "Prayed" for his recovery, as I am sure many on the shroomery did.  And supposedly 3 churches.

Normally all our thoughts are chaotic and random, but when aligned towards the same goal maybe they have more power?

You're totally right the prayers had everything to do with it and not the doctors that helped him.

Two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer.”

What if both aided in his recovery?  You don't know.

may have... the exploitation of timeframe did not

Thats a highly unsatisfactory answer for me. It implies a certain level of pettiness to this beings personality. That it likes to toy with life in deciding who lives and who dies and freely alters freewill and real world events to exert that on living things. Something more inline with a humans level of development then the thing that willed everything into existence.

---

I respect that.

I still don't think it discounts my point though. maybe this will clarify.

I've come to view fate and the way the universe works, to be much like a math equation.
sure I can decide whether I go north or south today, but whatever I decide will have a reaction on the other end of things, manifesting at another point in time, without my consent or possibly even awareness.

almost like a machine; always keeping balance.

Plenty here were quite worried about you, make no mistake. I talked with God just now and he said "I will push him further in his healing, but he will have to have a memento of this event."

You're getting another push, a smaller one, but you won't heal completely, thats the message I got

Make the most out of your prayers and resolutions. Don't make promises you cant keep.

RXB of course did I previously know about Zombi3's spiritual outlook, wow you are reallyb reaching to tryb and find something to condemn. Not just has he amply mentioned it in the topics, he has done so before. He may be a stranger to you but not to me.

Thats just like it says, I talked with what I consider to be God, back and forth, and thats what I got. First you argued "he said everything wil be OK" and then "he said he will lose the toes". No. Reading comprehension. Neither was said.

There is nothing narcissist about me talking with God and heeding the answers. Just about all religions say that God will speak to anyone willing and able to seriously ask and genuinely open to listen as long as they are open to, and submitted to, Him.
http://iblp.org/questions/how-does-god-speak

You act like you have to make yourself big to talk with God, on the contrary you will have to make yourself quite small. Accept you are his child and that just a child you'll be this entire lifetime, and be a sheep in his herd.

Not ask for proof but take a leap of faith, and despite you not asking for proof proof will come to you in rich measure.

You're rebelling against God, saying he wont speak to anyone, blaming his actions and inactions prescribing where his priorities should lie. Thats far from being a sheep in his herd.

you admitted in the thread that "you guessed" at his faith.

you follow a god who says "Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are those that have not seen and yet have believed. Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

which is to say... blessed are the gullible and stupid

---

Which is to say... you wholely miss the point of that passage.

God asks for a leap of faith, you refuse to take that leap of faith. Thats fine, but you won't get results as if you are God's child if you refuse to acknowledge you are one of his children.

You are on Gods A List but you keep him off yours. Again, that is fine and you are free to do so, but there are consequences to that choice.

I don't "think I'm chosen" the choice was mine. I chose God with all my heart and God accepted. So now I'm his pokemon so expect me to make more off the wall statements regarding God in the future. He'll go pitch me to fight the good fight and I will.

Why are you so tormented about God? Do you feel let down by him, or do you feel you were made promises you no longer believe in? Are you some disgruntled youth pastor who lost his faith after one of his kids died of leukemia? You spat out a four dozen word bible quote to make your point, thats uncommon.

Did something bad happen?
