Yea, you think about it and you can see what angle there obviously taking, but then you ask yourself. Do they know how to run a country?
Hey mister Prime Minister did you get those reports done? -"aaah shit, I TOTALY forgot, sorry dude..Oh It's almost 4:20!"

Honestly, I think alot of us canadian's are stuck between Green and NDP. But if you think about Green party doesn't really know how to run a country to well..There goals and promises sound good, but other than that there not to accountable. which really only leaves NDP, they've got a good leader, Mr.Layton seem's the most un-dodgy. They're down for the cause, and they don't want to privatize (well here in Sask. anyway)
I say vote NDP! it's time for a change

Layton's a good guy. I remember him from my activist days with Toronto's homeless problem. A truly committed man. Nevertheless, I'm voting Green. I'm a fringy and have to represent myself politically. I was gonna run for pot party, but my dad would go ballistic seeing our last name and signs that say "vote for your lifestyle. vote weed" all over the area.

I'm voting NDP for sure. I think Green is a throwaway vote. Sure they may reflect a lot of good ideas but they have absolutely no chance of winning. I think NDP is going to be very close this election. I watched the televised debates too and I think Layton is the only one without his head up his ass.

Well, I think that you should vote in what you believe in. I know they don't have a chance, but I'm still going to vote green. Never really liked strategic voting.
Anyways, what's really important is that everyone that can vote, get out and votes. Last election, over 8 million Canadians that could of voted, didn't The turn out was really low among young adults
So, all you young Canadian on this board that are old enough to vote...get out and vote tomorrow.

Excellent
A friend of mine just sent me this little bit of humour. It's a breakdown of the major parties:
Liberals - the generic, everyone is happy party. Corruption is a given. Conversatives - left of the democrats in the US. For example, they want publically funded healthcare with private contractors. That's considered radical. Viewed by many as American mouthwhores. NDP - socialists in every way they can be Bloc - socialist in some ways, right wing in others. Don't know as much about them because a) I don't care and b) I'm not in Quebec and can't vote for them.

CBC always has live coverage.
They start showing results as soon as the polls start closing. Newfoundland closed it's polls at 7:30 ET. The rest of the maritime provinces closed at 8pm ET. All the other provinces except BC closed a few minutes ago (9:30 ET) and BC closes sometime after 10pm.

The NDP has made quite a comeback from 4 years ago, when they didn't even get enough seats to have official party status! They jumped up 8.1% of the popular vote.
I'm looking forward to seeing how a minority government works...as I wasn't alive during the last one

Take a look at the cnn.com front page...not a damn thing about our election. America really doesn't give a shit about its northern neighbour

I think that the media ban on televising results before the polls have closed in that area was lifted this year.

I am glad to see that Jack Layton won in his riding. I will always remember him fondly as a Toronto city councillor.
BTW, I had no idea how well educated he is.
I did vote Liberal. I have always voted NDP in the past but in my neighborhood there were a crazy amount of conservative signs. I was afraid that it would be close and I really didn't want the conservatives to win. It seems that my fears may've been unfounded. The liberal incumbent won about 60% of the vote here.

We're completely the opposite in this election! I've always voted Liberal...but went NDP this time around. I thought it'd be a close race between the Conservatives and Liberals, but I was pretty certain the Liberals would come out on top. I wanted to see the NDP get back some of the seats the lost in the last few elections. They doubled the number of seats they had from last election!

No kidding. When I was driving around town yesterday I was shocked to see all the old people with their conservative signs and miserable old people-faces. I was totally shocked as I watched almost every one of them stare me down coldly, my mom noticed it too. Damn them and their right-wing christian conservative views.
A lot of people I know were voting strategically and going for liberals. I stuck with it and voted ndp seeing as how it's my first time voting. Tee hee.

My parents always vote to the left. Usually my mother votes NDP and my father Liberal. My dad's mother votes Liberal too. I live with my parents and the neighborhood had gone conservative crazy. My parents put up a big liberal sign and apparently some of the neighbors asked them if I had made them put the sign up. I laughed when my mother told me this and said that she should have told them, "No, we're also reasonable people, like our son."

The Green Party are crazy conservative and their environmental policies are worse than the NDP's. They basically just want to make it so that you have to pay in order to be allowed to pollute. Why are you interested in them?

lol?.environmental issues is what is producing the interest in them. The major reason I voted for them is oil?..or the fact of getting off oil. I?m sick of seeing the shit that?s happening in the Middle East cause of it. People in the middle are sitting on something we can learn to live without. A Green government means a faster turn-on to alternative energy. Witch means not only producing an environment that isn?t choking us to death but also preventing war in the process.

I'm not that interested in them, but I support the leftwinger's, it's good to see some new people getting seats. Canadian politics was getting old, and moldy
