It's a bad idea if you're plannign to go into any kind of professional role as a career, because your reputation is everything and if you are seen to be committing fraud (which is essentially what this is), that has very serious consequences for any future prospects. and its a small world where word travels quickly these days.

And also if you get caught, you've shot yourself in the foot.

I think it can work though if you're good... has to be plausible...

As someone else said, most places worth working at will ask for transcripts and references, then at least examine the references.

Any manager/supervisor should be able to immediately tell an employee's lack of skill set.  If you've never worked an office job, they'll probably be able to tell just by looking at you that you don't make the cut.

Oh I just realised this is the same guy who said his "friend" needed relationship advice. :lolsy:

He's definitely smart enough to swindle his way into a position he's not qualified for.

What are the potential consequences if caught? I was thinking of applying at several companies for 100,000+ a year jobs

Anyone done it before?

It's the only to get a job.

You can do better than that though. Start your own business.

I just got a call from a company who is using a hiring service to background check. Not only have they called every job I listed but they even asked for me to send them copies of my w2 forms

Here's that episode I was talking about. He was able to basically run a nuclear power plant and fool everyone. Then he realized once he could lie about all that shit he thought he could get away with murdering his wife with nicotine, which would be some shit I could see someone trying to do with an above average IQ. Total dipshit. If he never did that shit I doubt they would have ever looked into anything he ever did. He thought he could get away with anything. Nope, now he's in prison.

little off topic... if you are using a head hunter ie: recruiter you are going to go through a much tougher process.

That's true, but I think you're better off with a head hunter if you have an actual education, experience, and marketable skills.  I think headhunters get a kickback from the person doing the hiring, so they may not work for a 50k/year job.  I was contacted by one once and he didn't work any miracles.
