The checkpoints are a sham.  We could find them no problem.  I can find 20 this afternoon.

Even as far north as Washington its easy, if not easier... saw a van full of like 20 people this afternoon with a sign on the back "NECESITAMOS TRABAJADORES"

Go back and read this post. They are "border patrol" checkpoints, expressively limited to try and check immigration status. They are not sobriety checkpoints, they are limited to "brief questioning" as to your citizenship but you are under NO obligation to answer their questions or cooperate as ruled by the Supreme Court, they must be brief and any further detention must be strictly based on consent or probable cause and there is NO law saying you have to provide identification either.

They have had these checkpoints on I-10 and I-8 from california to texas, and all roads leading north from there, since I was a kid growing up in new mexico in the early 70's. 

Shroomism is right BUT--they often will walk a mutt around the car, or ask questions designed to give them a suspicion.  They do catch a lot of illegals and a lot of drugs. 

Now they have radiation detectors at those checkpoints, awaiting the day someone tries to sneak a dirty bomb into the US.

Whats fucked about them as drug checkpoints, they will bust people for small amounts, and 200 yards behind the checkpoint, a 200 car train carrying containers will pass by, unchecked at the US Mexican border, heading north into the US...'fast tracked' by Nafta. 


I wonder how all the drugs get into the US?
