Psilocybe Willis?? New psychadelic?

I am currently cultivating some psychadelic shrooms that I found at a near by house in the front lawn. It bruises blue, has a hollow stem and has a 1-4 inch diameter grey cap. The gills are brown and it has a chocolate colored spore print. I was told by a freind that it was a new species called Psilocybe Willis and that it was very potent. After eating only one fresh cap the effects are very strong and last for 6-8 hours. Is Willis a new species, does it exist at all? Unfortunately i wont have pictures of the fresh mushroom untill mine grow, can anyone help?

Yes, they are called Psilocybe Weilii.

I dont think you'll have much sucess in cultivating this species.

Also, it only grows in certain parts of the nation. Where abouts are you?

not to mention that a chocolate colored sporeprint does not suggest P. weilii.

I've picked weiliis with prints you could call brown. usually dark purple though.

purple brown prints can indeed look more brown than purple, but are still a verry far cry from chocolate. this is why colors are usualy played down in an id unless they are distinctive enough to be key, or-in the case of spore prints-of upmost import, so needing to be observed by as exacting of standards as may be.

I live in GA, they seem to be doing fine, my rye berries are all colonized and i am about to set up the fruiting chamber. AngryShroom, do you think it'll be impossible for me to grow 'em? I really want to 'cause they are so good. I have access to laminar flow hood/autoclave. Any tips on the fuiting medium or any other cultivation tips?

people have grown them.. check out www.mushroomjohn.com there is a pic.. alough when they fruited they didn't look like weilii at all.

sure ita can be done, but it is more hassle than its worth - a mushroom that currently requires about eight isolate trials to get pins is a pain in the butt...
