just use little squares of duct tape to cover teh hole immediately after injection.

Yep use tape, or if you have it a little blob
of window sealant, that makes a good injection port that self heals.

I've never heard any one say that a filtre dish is self healing?

The filter discs are not designed to inject through. Further more, this cultivator highly recommends that you soak the filters in a 5% bleach solution before autoclaving. They work great as long as you don't poke holes in them and they get bleached.

Tyvek is not injectable either. But is a great, cheap alterative. I just go to job sites and pick up the scraps.
