So my sleep schedule has been all fucked up this week, and i decided to take a nap after my eastern asian religions class.
Some guys had just finished repainting our bathroom and the fumes permeated the apartment..possibly contributing to my dream, who knows
I ended up having this crazy dream where Joe Satriani (guitar player i love and worship) was trying to enlighten me, if i remember correctly, through teaching me about the guitar..kind of reminded me of the story of Ch'an buddism in China, where the master held up a lotus flower, and one of his disciples was enlightened immidiately
the rest of the dream is a big haze, but the name "Nebuch" stands out, as some prophet or something...and one of the people assisting him in enlightening me was in a forum-type environment discussing nebuch, telling everyone else there is nothing special about him, while winking at me....very very weird...and very ahrd to recall what happened.
the entire dream had a very psychadelic theme, swirling colors and such behind anything that was going on.
I guess the themes of ch'an and rinzai/soto buddhism were seeping through into my dreams...but it made me think after i woke up...
