Spawn, No thier ( Smart Botanics ) syringes are far from cloudy with spores, in fact most of the time you will be lucky if you can see any spores, however I have had about 90% success with thier syringes. No I am not from USA but from Africa. As mentioned earlier Ryche Hawk will soon have this strain and you will be able to order from him in a month or two. So far the largest shrooms I have grown are the Ecuador's from Ryche Hawk, the also love manure and virtually grow by themselves outdoors in spring in manure. I have never sterilised manure as I believe in keeping things as close to the natural environment as possible however, it may be a good idea becuase manure can get green contam pretty easily as mentioned by Psychonaut, perhaps he has some experience with this he could share ?
Jester, yes you can use brown rice flour and vermiculite with this tek, it works great !

PsycoshrOOmer, I suggest you have a look at the grow section on this site. Question 2 the answer is yes. Question 3 I have no idea, but I suggest that you start by not disclosing your true age, although that would be lying and your kharma.

Update on the second flush. a bit dissapointing, I got 2 medium shrooms and thats it, theres still a couple pinning so it looks like I will have a small 3rd flush

good call, thats basically the same tek used here at the local mushroom farm to grow mushrooms for the grocery store. alot of people in your area get spent substrate as soil for their lawns round these parts and in the fall those lawns often fruit pretty heavey, one time i had a few bags of this, which my appearence id say is equal parts cow manure, straw, and mycillaeum. so i lined my salamander terrarium with it, planted a few pot plants in there to keep my salamanders company, they grew ok, but there wasnt enough air circulation, plus after a while they started to look like pot and visitors started to ask questions...ANYWAY
i got alot of very large commercial mushrooms out of that enclosure so i thought id cuck the conditions at you, i might try this later for psilocybe cultivation if it becomes legal (wink wink)
just basically do the same tek to get colonization in the manure mix, but add straw, i dont know why, but i got a good feeling that it helps. makes the substrate lighter, more airaeted and less smelly too.
lay directly on the bottom of aquarum, i used a 35 gallon aquarium but the size wasnt for mushroom cultivation. substraite layed about 3-5 thick directly on bottom, this was covered with various types of living sphagnum mosses that i peeled off of rocks in big sheets in the woods. i also planted alot of ferns and forest plants in there. fruiting began after a week and continued all year untill i cleaned out the tank after my tiger salamander died (it happens...snif) mycillaeum was still alive and abundant, it was most concentraited inder debris such as rocks and logs (decorations) i know its not a psilocybe, but it is a dung loving species so you never know.
as a side note, i did the same aquarium set up in the bio lab at my school except the substrait was simply rotted peat, cedar bark chips and daily compost addings to feed the madagascar hissing cockroaches (i sometimes get mushrooms in the cultivation of animals) anywho. i found some black morels out front in the ceadar patch. on a whim i transplanted some live ones during a rain with whatever mycilaeum was stuck too the bottom. i know you cant transplant mushrooms like plants, but it worked, the aquarium continued fruiting morels all summer (school was out, but my teacher told me about it) humidity was extremely high, but our school has a 15 million dolloar air-filtration/climate control system (isnt that insane?) conditions expensive to duplicate and probably made little difference. but anyway, those are morels. if you can grow enough you can get 10$ canadian a pound if you go to the right resteraunts, but usually they want no less than 50 wet lbs
i cant pick that much in a day! there just isnt enough out there to pick, and the little buggers dont keep!!!! anyway, too much reminising. i got my eye on that cambodia strain. after all the accliam and seeing mushroom johns beastley mushrooms of that strain, i think ill give em a shot. of course i dont expect to do as well as MJ. that guys not human  but thats good!

Mitchnast, thats quite an interesting story there. To answer your question I havent used straw myself, but from what I have read I dont see any reason why your set up should not work ( except possible contam ) GO FOR IT !
Oh yes I believe its possible that MJ is not human, he must be partial mushroom by now having absorbed so much psilocybin over the years. Anyway its great having a guy that around !!!!!

Thank you Oh Great One for your kind words
about the colours, I liked them too !
As far as feeding too much, not guilty, the shrooms had thier own food there and they were greedy !
