The new NDP leader, Jack Layton?
I haven't read too much about him, but what I do happen to see of his policies look kind of interesting.
Anyone know much about him?

I just caught the tail end of an interview he was doing on the CBC, and he said he was for legalised, regulated sale of cannabis (like alcohol), and that he was for state recognition of gay marriages. Thats all I know, but from what I hear, I like!

It must be sweet having more than two (soon to be one) parties to vote for.

Yeah I've always thought the NDP were horrid.
But I haven't really paid any attention to them for the past few years, I had all but counted them out of the picture already (with so few seats).
Who knows...maybe things have changed in the party?
This guy is apparently for full legalization of cannabis. Plus he's being vocal about NOT going to fight in stupid wars, and how Canada should be a sign of peace in the world.
Hmm

Jack Layton...new leader of Canada's social democratic NDP New Democratic Party He's be better than the previous two NDP leaders, (Audrey McLaughlin, Alexa McDonough) IMO I hope he forms government(ya right) but official opposition isn't impossible...he's got my vote... Of course, the NDP was the government who started medicare in Saskatchewan... And yes...he's officialy for full legalization of marijuana, too bad he'll never get in.

Yeah the NDP.. I never really thought about them until I found out they were for legalizing the rebel bush. I'll likely be voting for them based only on that just because A) it's not like they're getting anywhere anyway and B)I don't like the liberals C)I like the alliance even less and D)I don't feel like voting strategically against the alliance (who wins everything where I'm from).
