DOes this gpd per capita consider the insane cost of US health care insurance? Cause if not, then the actual gdp per capita is like 5 or 6 k lower.

GDP per capita is a stupid statistic, what happens when Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are included in a small pool? It skews the whole outcome.

When you have the massive inequality of income and wealth like the US, this statistic becomes absolutely meaningless.

Mississippi is a shit hole compared to Germany.

Now, let's put this in perspective:

Mississippi's GDP is about $100 billion

Germany's GDP is about $3,600 billion.

Oh, one last thing: Federal government spending accounts for 45% of Mississippi's GDP.

Half of Mississippi's economy is due to federal aide to its citizens and local governments, as well as other federal payments. What a fucking joke.
