:burke: yup. I bet speaking an Asian language would help too. The Chinese people at the King Wok in Cincinnati never have the same thing as the Americans I've noticed. As an American it's probably average-slightly above average, as a Chinese I feel like it could be something totally different that I'll never know.

I haven't been there but the restaurant where you pay to be insulted in Chicago is Ed Debevic's. It's a 50's diner with gum chewing waitresses and apparently frequented by tourists. They added a location in the suburbs and a couple in Southern California.

There is also a hot dog place on the north side  that's like that. Don't ask for ketchup or they will tell you to fuck off and goto McDonald's.

Also I worked at a later night Mexican place where most of the time I would be fairly nice but had no issues with telling people to go fuck themselves. Have some decent story's from there. If you were to hammered and fucked shit up without cleaning your mess the credit card would be charged an asshole fee.

Would run out of food regularly so didn't give a flying fuck if some ass came back or not. I'd say 98 percent I was nice to the other 2 can go fuck themselves.

I've never been to a restaurant that intentionally was rude but I frequent Asian restaurants a lot and they can be pretty rude..

A few times I've heard the "You eat too much. Go home!" line at buffets. Ok that's happened about a dozen times to be exact. Then they always get pissed when I order something with duck. At a Thai restaurant off I-19 in the Hudson, Florida area the guy didn't apologize he just said, "You can't have duck tonight" with a really pissed off face and tone.

Then they also hate to serve hot tea, as if heating water is as difficult as heating duck

Its the cost of doing business.  The vast majority of the people that buy shit don't use it and then return it. It happens a lot, (my old job existed entirely from buying opened CDs/DVDs from best buy and reselling them) but not enough to penalize everyone else for it by rewriting return policies.  Especially considering how shitty a lot of the products big box stores sell.  I've bought appliances that broke the same day I opened them multiple times.

I think it's an age thing. They're never rude to my parents, because my parents are older, but damn they have always been rude to me whenever I came in.
