well??? I Stopped due to Bonk EDM and Bonk People as well as the Drugs Got Super Bunk I WILL Never Buy Molly @ Rave or Roll Due to all these Crazy RC's and Money Grubbers the Scene has gone down Hill....Such a Bummer....:confused: What R your Reasons for Leaving the Scene?

Although met some really cool people...and the Co$t What!!!

I stopped going when drunk bros over ran the scene. Just bad vibes. Bad date rapey vibes. Quite a few female friends actually say this last reason is the main one.

I stopped going to raves because all of my party-going peers transitioned from being psychedelic visionaries to self-important and obnoxious hedonists so infatuated with their own flatulence as to contaminate every party with the foul odour of their smugness.

I stopped after a rave in the desert in about 30° weather, no tent, 5 seat car(with 7 people in it. Then I redosed cid and this mdma which was  really strong. So I was freezinlg not enjoying the music or the hot bitches(I was tripping too hard to talk to people just on mdma) . We had at least 3 different conversations going on which was frankly overwhelming. I brought and bought weed and when I was peaking hard I lost both canisters. Then some chick and I smoked dried wormwood. It made me INCREDIBLY confused and sent me flying into awful thought loops.Things started getting super uncomfortable and I stayed in the car until the sun came up. Then promptly at 6am I did 3 more fat lines of ketamine, 2 balloons of nitrous an  a little cocaine and went home. Honestly I'd love to go again because during the day it was every drug you could think of available with a lot of harmonious people and sex everywhere. Plus its in one of the most unique deserts I've ever been to, not only beautiful but 10s of miles away from any house and a half away from any patrolling police.

I go to 1 or maybe 2 big EDM shows a year. I stopped going too often because the whole scene has changed. It's full of young hipsters now. Maybe I'm just getting old and nothing has changed?

cuz i always leave after two hours.. most parties now either lack good music or the atmosphere just isn't like it was ten years ago. but there are a couple of old school ones coming up so i will have to go. maybe i should get some good old molly it's been so long since i felt her warm embrace :smile:

I've never actually been to a rave. I'm not a fan of loud, over-couded places but I might try it some day. Take a nice dose of molly and rave, sounds fun :thumbup:

Ive been out the scene for 2-3 years since kicking an addiction and moving to a new city.  We had raves that revolved around the younger candy crowd but we also had the secret underground parties where only the known and respected were invited.  The majority of that crowd were older people & very few candy kids.  Im pretty much done with the younger crowd tho I will attend those events to network and find people with connections.

I never went to raves. I all speed and ecxtasy (so I've heard) and a bunch of people fucking cause they are high.

That's not really the way it is.
It's primarily about the music. People do drugs / drink, and it's a very accepting environment, so if two people were fucking it would be accepted. At least years ago, the scene has changed considerably in Toronto with the whole boom of electronic music, and so that acceptance has lessened significantly.

Cause the FUCKIN POLICE SHUT THEM DOWN.

its the only reason. Theres  some "legit" ones in big venues (aka concerts), but the underground rave is long gone.

Also, websites like NWTekno.org, which was my fav rave site, shut down too.

Its a sad day for ravers in the US.

Now i just look at Coaster for a little glimmer of hope :coaster:

there is something seriously magical about dancing to music that beats to the pace of the heartbeat on a big dose of mushrooms

The rave scene has changed considerably in the past few years. I mean it has always been changing but I have noticed a huge change in the past 3 or so years, with the electronic music boom.

There are a lot less warehouse rave type events these days here, mostly only underground techno / house club nights (and trance). It is what it is, I do miss the days of old though .

it should be a crime to deprive the people of their celebration of life via drugs and dance..... it makes me sick thinking about this stuff... how much better things could be.  imagine a festival every weekend, in every city.... REAL medicine for the masses, free shrooms at the door.  that would be paradise... and its only a STEP away, we could be living that dream now, being with high people every weekend, growing as a tight community, and In return growing into WHOLEsome person with a sense of belonging.  not this segregated bullshit where we grow grow apart from one another, and end up alone and dead.
