Outdoor P psuedoaztecorum success !
    #20499596 -

Pretty stoked !

I inoculated a bed with grain spawn earlier this summer. The bed is nice garden soil and composted manure etc and has pole beans and zucchini growing in the bed.

I noticed there is a few other small pins so as temps cool this fall I think I will have some epic flushes! :awedance:
Pretty sure this is the first outdoor grow of this cool weather Indian species. But clearly not the last!!
So here is the first pin!!

This species is incredible and if you don't fucking have it on your list of things to do you are missing out.
What is sweet about these fruits is they are away from the inoculation points so that means they are fruiting from the soil and not just case grain. Think of the potential. They are similar to a wood lover but are a dung liker like cubes, but seem to enjoy the mixed components of a good garden . The stem butts regrow on carboard and I even got a pin a few weeks ago from a bonsai pot that I buried the carboard piece in garden soil.it ended up getting dry and shrivelling up when it got too sunny. Hopefully these fruits can push out while I have a few days of rain.

They should give you a special tag. 'Trusted Outdoor Cultivator'

Hopefully once everyone sees that that's a tag to covet there will be an enormous boost in outdoor bed experimentation and documentation.

I have had 3 fruits so far, but we keep getting these hot ass dry days so they just dry up. Plus I have been away so I couldn't water. But the third fruit is surviving so hopefully I can keep it moist for a few weeks and we see a real outdoor fruit from this species!!

I actually just told cron that before reading this thread. :awesomenod:

Psylo, as always I am impressed. Your outdoor grows are what motivated me to make three large P. allenii beds this spring. They have been fully colonized for a coupke month, so I'm hoping they'll fruit soon. The myc has even grown out of the beds into the mulched yard.

P. pseudoaztecorum is definitely one I want to try again now that I have more experience. Couldn't get it to fruit indoors a year ago, but I've learned a LOT since then.
