Perhaps god will grant Mr. King the strength to actually write a decent ending to a book for once.

It's always those science freaks who deny the interconnectedness of everything. Not pigeon holing science freaks, just atheists.

Atheists remind me of some boring lesbian who can't have any fun.

If you find Stephen kings work shallow, or under-coocked, or overly accessible, then please read the books he wrote as Richard Bachman. Four novels every person should read are Roadwork, Rage, and the running-man (nothing like the movie based on it), and the long walk.

The running man. When we all come to terms and embrace our sadism? Nah, we don't like admitting the bad stuff anymore.

Look at the role the media plays in that book, they photo-shop his wife to make her look like a busted prostitute, they lie about him, turning his political crimes into visceral ones. It shows how the media, society, and the government work together to shit on the individual for the sake of perpetuating the status quo. A brilliant book. Why do you think they botched the film? And the 9-11 style ending? Amazing, just like the 9-11 style ending to insomnia. King really is great, he has some shitty down-home cracker opinions, but whatever, on a deeper level he is tapped in. He sees shit that other people don't see because they don't wan't to. He wrote two books about student-based school massacres (Carrie, Rage) in the fucking 70's. Look at the Dead-Zone if you wan't to see religion through a clean lens. The mans mother is driven mad by her obsession with christian based UFO cults, but his connection with the divine is painful, unwanted, and despite his best interests, quite forceful.

Also I disagree about lesbians. I have a number of DVD's that prove quite clearly that lesbians are capable of having fun.

The Dead Zone. Another perfect example of how evil comes in a charming parcel.

NEEDFUL THINGS bro, that's the book. An ode to H.P. Lovecraft,  but also an exploration of the darkest aspects of human avarice. It blew my mind.

YOG-SOTHOTH RULES!!!
