I am gonna change it up. Its a good shelf i will say that but its right where it gets very little sunlight now. This being due to the fact that it has rained so much here lately that the tamarind tree right next to shelf has over grown foliage. Its too bushy now. When i first put it there the tree was suffering from lack of water and not its just too overgrown. I need to change that setup.

I have a few ascleps, mostly unnamed probable hybrids. Here are two of them:

(probably a Huernia pillansii hybrid)

(possibly Huernia brevirostris, with a freaky 4-point flower)

Datura ferox, or a related variety... Grown from seeds collected wild along a sandy floodplain of the Chattahoochee river in North, Georgia. Apparently the blooms do not always open fully.

The pods on ferox are awesome, my plant is stressed and kinda ugly but it's making it's first pod now.

Yes they're fantastic! First encounter with this species was during late winter, I saw the dried up plant and noticed the spiked pods... I got so excited! Glad I got a few good sprouts. I moved so I haven't been able to go back to the natural habitat. I also have another one with a tiny pod starting. Its amazing to watch the pod grow. The spikes start out as little hairs then get more and more pronounced. So cool! I'm a sucker for Daturas.

A highly irregular Texas star on that Stapelia, Ferrel. You'll get in trouble with the law (and the smell...).

Nice, man.
