I failed my ranger course in South Africa because of two fighting giraffes. So, yes, I have met them many times! I even saw one sleep, which is very rare. They are extremely vulnerable to predators when they sleep. They are too tall to hide succesfully (but they try very hard to make it work and are well camouflaged). Basically they anxiously kneel in the bushes for 20 minutes and that's all the sleep they get.

Yeah i saw one at the zoo when i was a kid. HE ATE OUT OF MY HAND!


I also have a tattoo of a decapited giraffee on my lower leg. It looks like hes sticking his head out of the top of my sock :lol:
