dosing with dissapointment

At 1:45pm a made a nice cup of tea with 2.65g of powdered psilocybe subaeruginosa.

Drank it at like 2:10 after letting it do its thing.

Now its 3:10 and im not getting anything.

This is weird because its the highest measured dose i have done.

I havnt tripped for 2 weeks.

By now i should be in another world.

But im not. Thoughts?

Did you add lemon to the water before you put the shrooms in? If not, you only extracted the psilocybin which takes a good deal of time to hit after ingestion. The lemon beings the Psilocin into solution as well.

Is that possible? I thought when psilocybin was in a liquid solution it was less affected by heat.. Hence why you can make tea but cant cook with shrooms..

Plus the water I use is always out of the kettle so by the time i pour it its less then 100 degrees celsius

I dunno i just always use the same method and get lauched out of reality

And no i never use lemon but it usually kicks in after 20mins

I did however add maple syrup.. Maybe like 1 teadpoon which i havnt done in the past..

maybe you should dose double that amount again just to make sure.

I always eat the leftover stuff after i've boiled it, too

You should let the water boil as well. Psilocin/Psilocybin are stable at 100°C. Light is what degrades solutions quickly. Boiling also drives off dissolved oxygen, which will destroy the Psilocin. But yeah, if you didn't use acidic water, you are missing half the deal - specifically the half that hits quickly.

If these are wild shrooms, there is a lot of variability even from the same patch.

Usually 1.5g gets me spaced for around 5 hours.. So im abit hesitant

Im starting to think that the potency has been decreased by powdering them..

Instead of just selecting shrooms by the way they look and weighing them out..

I have powdered all of my shrooms..

They are from the wild..

Some are old and big others young and small..

I hope i dont need like 5g to get where 1.5g used to get me

Oh yeah, that exposes so much to the air. Once powered they don't last very long.

How long? I only powdered them last night then put them in an air tight jar with a desiccant pack then into a dark cupboard..

I have read its a great way to store them long term..

Ive got like another 100g for another patch dried and powderded in another jar that i hope is still ok..

5g of subs would whoop yo ass.

if you need 5g of subs to get you anywhere you're doing something majorly wrong.

try injecting them into your butthole

I know.. I thought this would have been a crazy trip its fucked..

They are being picked and put into the dehydrator within an hour..

I just remembered this batch was in the dehydrayor for 24 hours instead of about the 12-16 hours they usually get..

I will have another crack in a few days and see what happens..

Well, that's fine I would think. I don't think powdered is a good idea for long term storage. It's just a matter of surface area exposed to the environment.

So i just dosed again from another batch..

2.25g although some got left in the cup because i consumed it the worst way possible..

I first tried puting abit of powder on my tounge then washing down with water..

Then thought fuck it and tipped the powder into the cup of water stirred it and drank it.. Thats a spew worthy taste!

Ill let you know what happens :wink:

Tea is easy...

Powder
Get water to rapid boil
Take off burner
Add mush
Steep for 15 minutes (let it sit with lid on)
Pour tea in cup
Chug 2gs or higher will do the trick
