    #2012697 - 10/15/03 10:00 PM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Im a total newb to this. sry if i do anything agenst board rules. (i read them but i mite of missed somethin)
I live in Canada BC, and I went out today in my yard and found tons of different kinds of mushrooms. I took some crappy pictures, I just want ur opinion if any of these mushrooms have a chance to be psycadelic mushrooms. Then I'll pick them, take prints, and more pics. There's just so many in my yard.

The ones that look most likely are the ones in Photos 50 and 52.

You'll definitely need spore prints to verify what they are. Also, give us a description of them. For example, we need to know if there's a ring on the stem, if the gills are attached to the stem, stuff like that.

Happy mushrooming!

If a mushroom does not bruise blue does that mean there's no way of it being psychedelic mushroom?

No, but the vast majority of them do. Most of the ones that don't probably bruise some, but they are deeply colored already and the bruising is difficult to see.

If they're pale colored and don't bruise blue, that's a bad sign.

Happy mushrooming!

the second one looks like it could be something nice. take a spore print.

Are they growing in clusters (where multiple mushrooms are attached to each other at the base of the stem) or are they growing individually, but in groups?

Are any parts of the mushroom slimy (or sticky)?

Happy mushrooming!
