pigeons are destructive and they also carry disease that can be fatal in
humans, if they nest in a gutter it will back the gutter up

Exactly. They clog the gutters and now one of my other patios is rotting because when we have storms the rain gushes down like a water fall and then it gets underneath the door, damaging the carpet.

In the daytime put a ladder up near their nest. After it has been dark for a couple of hours, quietly climb up the ladder to their nest -- even if the birds are awake they won't fly away. Then you can grab them and to unto them all manner of horrible things.

This is how I rid my mom's barn of pigeon back when I was a youngin. Climb quietly up to their home in the middle of the night and break their filthy little necks

I have also told the apt ppl about this issue, they get the tall ladder and go clean the gutters out, but in a matter of days they remake their nest.

catch the pigeons and keep them as pets

you get some new pets and your cats gets some new friends



it doesnt matter what she's complaining about, these are some things she
needs to know about before dealing with them


if she wants a pigeon as a pet then she should go through a licensed
breeder and get a carrier pigeon or homing pigeon or something, they wont
have the same issues as wild pigeons, they'll be healthier and less
harmful. I thought about trapping some wild pigeons until I was warned
about the health risks


as for introducing her cat to the pigeons, we should combine janna's idea
with yours, start throwing cats at the pigeons

There are also stickers they make for windows that look like the outline of a predatory bird, maybe something like that would be less obtrusive.

if you wanna throw that into the equation to justify it, then knock yourself out.
i'm just pointing out that that wasn't the initial complaint, which is why there are many people saying the issue lies with viva



if they're causing damage to your apartment, then you should be able to get somebody else involved
and i still highly doubt that killing them is the only way out of this problem

No I hear ya. I should've mentioned that part in the OP.

Monsoon season is about to begin so this is where this stresses me out because I literally have to place like 4 towels near that patio door to soak up all the water.

the owl wont really be effective. airports use loud noises to harass them and
it tends to be fairly effective. firecrackers are better than plastic owls

Well I know I have many options, but since I live in an apt, a lot of those options I can not do, like the paintball gun (I have one), pellet gun, etc. So I guess ill just call the office tomorrow and complain AGAIN. lol

The three bitches in the office are almost as bad as these pidgeons. They're fat, annoying and don't do shit besides sit on their asses. I HATE communicating with them. They have he worst attitude, too. All the time.

They really need a man in there to break up all the estrogen.

For someone that tries to come off as a gentle kind, loving person you sure are a mean witch when it comes to less desirable animals.  They are just trying to live their lives, and you want them dead because god forbid you have to wake up once or twice as they protect their offspring.  I bet you kill spiders...
