Invalid DOS Version message

So i was ready to partion this hard drive...i booted with my bootdisk, and was going to run FDISK but I got a "Invalid DOS Ver" message...

Can someone tell me why?

I guess the system installed on the harddisk was newer than the version of the bootloader on the floppy.

Whatever version of fdisk you are running was not compiled under the version of DOS on your bootdisk, hence the error message.

I gave up on it for now...I'll get back to it when or after we've covered it in class....Thanks for the help though with all my questions, you cats are more than helpful....
