His dad found him passed out drunk on the floor. The floor under a roof which daddy pays for. Being so drunk he left his cell out, a cell which daddy also pays for. Wasn't dad surprised when he opens the phone, with no security features, only to find LSD deals and pics of a minor in various states of undress.

all could be corroborated but young alex, deleted the post.

I voluntarily went into rehab right after high school. I was there for 6 months.
I'd say a big difference with how you and I would view rehab differently is that I was voluntary. Probably made it easier for me, in a way - I wanted to go, I wanted to change. Blah blah.

In general, I honestly don't think it was -that- bad. I didn't -not- enjoy it. I kind of looked at it as another six months of school. You get a schedule, you sometimes get treated like a moron, you have to sit in groups and talk with each other as if you really care what others have to say.

But even if you don't need it, it's still a learning experience. There are plenty of worse things in life. And you could walk out with some new friends, which isn't a bad thing.

But every rehab center is different, I'm sure. You could end up in hell, for all I know.

Maybe OP isn't capable of taking care of himself, but if all you want to do is go to college it shouldn't be that difficult. Make money, pay for classes, get good grades and grants, finish whenever you finish. I wish my goals were that simple and straight forward :lol:

Thanks for the helpful advice, guys. I'm actually not that upset about it any more and I'm sure I'll meet some cool and like-minded people there.

My final exams are going to be over in about 2 weeks and then I'm off to spend some time with the addicts. It's a 30 day program.

As for my custom title, it's more or less a joke and not meant to be taken seriously. I've never abused meth-amphetamine or any dangerous stimulants like coke (though I do love adderal hehe) and the last time I've done a powerful opiate was months back. My friends and I were just talking about utopia and how we imagined it and one of my buddies mentioned how he'd "tweak all day and nod all night". I found it kind of amusing. That's all.

The only drugs I do on a regular, weekly basis are Kratom, Adderal, and Weed. Unfortunately, my dad was snooping through my phone and found my drug-related  text messages which made him go crazy. Shortly thereafter he raided my room and found drugs like MDMA, DXM cough syrup, some benzos, and a few other things. Keep in mind, I don't abuse any of these substances, I just use them casually from time to time. And yeah, I'm aware it looks bad on paper but I know myself inside and I'm not a) physically addicted to any of those substances b) I don't use them frequently AT ALL (hell I've had that MDMA for 2 months) and c) it's not ruining any aspect of my life.

But I don't blame my dad I suppose, I guess what he saw looked bad enough to warrant rehab and he takes it on as his responsibility to "fix" me (although I'm not broken in anyway). He probably wishes I was straight edge like my sister but it is what it is.

Hell, a ton of senior students in my highschool (18+) were dating 15 year old girls. Some even brought those very same girls to prom. It's nowhere as taboo as you make it out to be.

Come back in a few years man. If you are already doing Heroin and Meth at that age, go to rehab man. It will definitely help you realize life is about more than just getting high.

OP, stop being a rebellious little kid and do what your dad says. You might not be an addict in the physical sense, but just reading some posts, you have an addict personality. Stop being selfish and only thinking about yourself and just suck it up and go to rehab.

Youre only 16 and with the selfish attitude and the way you glorify drugs, youll probably be banging dope by the time youre 20.

Rehabs not bad, its actually pretty cool. You get decent food, get to listen to other peoples stories, and meet some really cool and diverse people. Ive been 3 times and Ive met people ranging from homeless wanderers to business executives, Ive seen people in there whos ages range from their mid teens all the way up to a guy in his mid 80s.

Just do what your dad says and stop acting like a spoiled little kid.

Are you suggesting its too difficult to work and save up money? Its not if you can keep your budget under control.
