It does seem fishy that OP's little personal message thing below his name says "tweak all day nod all night"...  only a person who heavily uses drugs would put that up, imo.  And if a person hasn't used in 6 months then why wouldn't they change it?

I remember my mum trying to send me to rehab when I was caught with lsd, ketamine, mdma and some other shit. We went to an interview type arrangement to assess my situation and the guy in charge yelled at me for being a "druggie" and not accepting that I need help and told me to fuck off... But not before trying to convince my mum I was selling these drugs (which I wasn't) and "getting fucked up every day" (which I wasn't). He also tried pulling some macho shit on me saying "I've done way more drugs than you would've done; I was using drugs for 20 years!"  :whatever:

My mum walked out of there crying and I walked out completely shellshocked and emotionally flattened. Fuck rehab, that place seemed more like a religious cult than therapeutic treatment.

OP's dad could very well be over reacting, much like your mom. But the thing that confuses me is his Tweak all day nod all night title. So idk what to think. Just waiting to see what OP has to say about that

I was at Turning Point for 28 days this past Jan., and I was pretty much your 'raging alcoholic':smirk:.
    Now, I'm sober 83 days:cool:...This is Me, 2 yrs. ago, before finally seeking help.
Among the 'guests' while I was there, were a retired NBA Center, 1  bass player from a 90's popular metal group(my "Roomy":thumbup::hug:), and 1 mysterious federal inmate doing a 50 instead of 28 day  program.:tinfoil:

  MY Stay Included:

-No contact with the outside for 1st   7 days...( No phone calls, letters, Broadcast news, newspapers, etc...)
-No cell phone, internet, radio, MP3, etc.
-One  1 hour Sun. visit
-One  10 min. monitored phone call/week
-90 min. group, 1 hr. AA each day
-one 2 hour session/week of one to one thearpy
-3 regular, nutritious and tasty meals/day. I had tilapia, catfish, sole, Decent Cheeseburgers and Veg. burger,lots of fresh fruit...
-Limited weight room time
-Regular sleep patterns, assigned 'busy work' daily chores
-Meds as needed and prescribed
-Four  15min. monitored smoke break/day
-Reading time, lots of it, but not outside books. Spiritual and inspirational themed only.  I read the Big Book(575 pages) in 3 weeks.
-Plenty of time for inner reflection, chit chat with similar and vastly different people, everybody's there for different and the same reasons.
-Playing board games, dominoes, cards (but no poker, 21, Spades, or other "gambling type" games:rolleyes:)
-Very limited TV, only 1 movie/day, very limited sports

-We don't call 'em sob stories, it's war stories.:blah: And not bang/kill war, but endless hours of who did how much when thug life street cred jail time BS junk.ya feel me,Bro?:gangsta:

My situation was different. I really wanted and needed my detox/rehab.
And if you're reallydoing this, just have to go with the flow, ya know, don't cause drama. Take the time for self reflection and examination, don't share too much, unless you feel the need to. Do some push ups, write letters, brush your teeth:flowstone:

OP Rehab is a great place if your an addict, but if your not it's fucking useless.

If I were you I would do some heroin right before hand, so you fail a drug test and have them put you on suboxone for withdrawal :thumbup:

If don't think you need it then you probably won't gain much from the experience. People don't quit unless they want to. Idk what your usage is but hopefully if you really do need it then you'll realize it in there.

Strong opiates are the most addicting and self destructing thing i’ve ever encountered, I wouldn’t wish the kind of shit that comes with that addiction on my enemies.

If it wasn't for me getting locked up i would probably be nowhere in life right now, granted before i got locked up i smoked weed about once or twice a week, tripped twice a month so i wasnt really a drug addict i just had no drive to pursue anything. What jail / rehab did for me was gave my a distraction free enviroment to really think about myself.

I'd reccomend making the most out of your stay but at the same time dont make too many friends it's not beneficial at all while inside. I wish you the best of luck and IMO if i had another 3 months to sit and think about myself without obligations i would take it.

My social worker tried getting me to a youth rehab and i turn 20 in 2 months, dude.

Plus Iwas 18 when i went, and yes, my parents made the decision to have me go. Whenyour financially dependent on them they kindof call the shots.


If that's the case, and OP does happen to be of age (doubtful) He can refuse to go.

Simple as that.

My mom tried to make me go to rehab when she found a half-O of white in my room. She refused to believe I wasn't doin' that much recreationally :ducklol: She thought I had a serious problem.

Maybe OP isn't capable of taking care of himself, but if all you want to do is go to college it shouldn't be that difficult. Make money, pay for classes, get good grades and grants, finish whenever you finish. I wish my goals were that simple and straight forward :lol:

I don't get it. According to your headline, you tweak all day and nod all night. You claim to have been sober from mostly everything for 6 months. According to your profile picture, I would guess you are 18, definitely not older than 19.

So what's the real story? Why does your father think you are a drug addict? Do you act like a drug addict? Do you ramble on, slur, or behave incoherently around people? Do you often make appointments and then flake on people? Do you always show up somewhere 2-3 hours late? Do you take money without asking or pawn off your family's possessions?
