Whoa, don't toss 'em so fast. Mycelia also often excretes a yellowish tint as it eats through the rice. It's basically mycelia poop, no big deal. Just watch the jars closely and see if those blotches get covered up with future rhizos.

Thanks SporeChick! It is more of a slight tint than anything, and it appears to be focusing on the rice rather than the vermiculite. I'll tell my friend to keep an eye on those yellow tinted jars to make sure they don't get out of control.
