Chronic nasal congestion

I've got rhinitis without any mucus. Just constantly inflamed nasal passages.

Antihistamine spray used to fix me up for awhile but now it doesn't even work at all. Steroid nose spray works barely just enough to keep me from being a mouth breather.

What should I do?

I am a mouth breather because of chronic nasal inflammation and mucus. I Dont do drugs (although used to insufflate alot.)

Nothing has helped me.

yeah you should try using a neti pot with the saline solution

Vicks nose congestion reliever.. Exercise, and plugging your nose and breathing out a bi (like priming a choke)


I snort a lot of shit and because of that i too.. Am a mouth breather

Ive used netipot, and then was told by my doctor to use a neilmed version. The Neilmed has a tip which goes into your nostril, and you squeeze the bottle to blow it up into your nasal cavity.

It did help when i had a nasal infection which was causing severe pressure headaches. Disgusting stuff would come spilling out of my nose. However, recently when I tried it, it didn't help. It seems to me that the tissue in my nose is swollen which constricts airflow, rather than solely mucus congestion. Perhaps using it on a daily basis might help...

FYI - my mucus (both spit, and nasal discharge) are always bloody and have been for years.

Not sure what to do.

Nasonex did work well, but it isn't to be used on a continual basis.

I actually saw an ear/nose/throat specialist who put a scope up my nose and said everything was normal.

I have noticed that its worse here in my coastal location where the humidity is high, vs the arid desert I grew up in.

Saline helps me but not a whole lot. It gets worse when I lie down and makes sleeping difficult.

The main problem is inflammation.
