Congestion, and my cure!

I have suffered from really bad nasal/sinus congestion since I can remember. This used to drive me absolutely crazy.

I couldn't sleep without having water within reach. I couldn't sleep without a heavy coat of lip balm.
Even then, I was waking up fairly frequently in the morning - every morning - with an insanely dry mouth and lips. Like, stupidly, amazingly dry. This was all from breathing through my mouth when I was asleep as my nose was almost completely blocked.

It was worse when I smoked as well.

I've tried pharmaceutical decongestants and they worked temporarily but left my nostrils burning and I was sneezing like no other after a few squirts.

Anyway, I'll cut the story-telling.

I got my act together and bought something called Astro-Plex and now I have full use of one of my lost senses.

This isn't an advertisement/spam I just know how frustrating nasal congestion is and I have been using this for about a week and my nose is clear. I can actually taste again! haha
I hope other people with the same problem give this a go, it's well worth it. I warn you though, this stuff is right up there with the worst things I have ever tasted.

congested sinus' makes me want to fuckin  :banghead:

i still remember the day i discovered nasal spray, i was sooo fucin happy, but like you said, it makes you sneeze.

Hey, it's got reishi in it.  It's got to be good.

Is it possible that you have/had nasal polyps?  I've had very similar problems to the ones you described and it was determined that I had polyps.  I had a surgery to remove them about a year ago but I guess they came back even after that.

Anyway, I was told that I'd either have to keep having surgery done or learn to like a nasal spray.  I've always hated nasal sprays too (I'd be so plugged that it would just run back out of my nose) but the one that I'm using now, veramyst, isn't that bad.  It wasn't comfortable to use at first but after a while it got a lot better.  And it doesn't make me sneeze.  Sneezing when using a nasal spray sounds like it could be an indication of something more than just congestion from snot/mucus.

I'm not sure about polyps. I know that my Nana used to always tell me that I should have my adenoids removed and that it had something to do with my nose having a small bridge (the part below where a monobrow resides.)

The stuff is basically a bunch of homeopathic herbs and what not, in an ethanol medium.

Seriously, fuck the nasal sprays off, this is where it's at for me.
