I've never really cared.

I slepted in beds with frames and down on the floor.
I've never really given a shit.

If I had to choose then I'd go for the mattress in the floor look, it's just more rugged, manly and rebellious IMO, of course chicks may not dig it. I just prefer the more casual approach to life.

To add to that, I never seen anyone with a matress in the floor until I started dabbling with drugs and hanging with drug users. For some reason they all dig the floor mattress too.

I guess I'm just that guy that goes against the grain though.

Unless it was a really nice hammock I wouldn't go back to that sleeping arrangement.  It's nice for a few months but after a while I couldn't stand it.

If I decide to set up a hammock in my room again I think what I'll probably do is put my box spring and mattress on the floor in a corner and then hang it above the mattress to make a neato little reading loft.

this is usually something done becuase the person cant afford a bedframe.

I have a memory foam mattress upon several bed matteresses, so it is about as high as one would be on a bedframe. I never cared to spend the money on a frame. I sleep like a baby.

I think they're cooler without a frame. A frame doesn't do anything but give storage space and placed for me to bonk my head. Not broke, just don't want one.
