Anyone use a Sobakowa (sp?) pillow with the buckwheat hulls inside? I've been using one for close to five years now. I take it with me most everywhere if I know I'm gonna be spending the night. Very comfy.

I'm in the market for a new bed myself, and I have absoutely no idea what to get. First and foremost, I want quality. If I'm gonna spend money on something, I want a product I'll be happy with. But, definitely looking for the most bang for my buck. I had one of those Select Comfort mattresses (Inflatable, but still, like 700-800 bucks,) and it was pretty comfortable. But my girlfriend and I recently housesit for her parents and slept on their bed, which was GREAT. My question is, how do I find out what will be right for me? It isn't like I can spend every night for a week at the store to "test drive" the mattresses. What are features I can skip, and what should I not do without? Are the more expensive mattresses actually that much better? Thanks for the help!

Woops, let me restate what I wanted. I meant mattress, not bed. I already have a bed, but my mattress is TIRED. I need to give her a rest, or to someone less fortunate than I.

dude get the second one. how much is that anyway. i want to buy a new futon considering mine is a fold out space saver type...
i have a full size pillow top bed but it kinda sucks cause it's just way too comfortable and cloud like. i slept on the floor with my little futon last night and i have to say, i woke up feeling great ready to get out of bed and sprung to life. instead of the usual, so comfortable, can't wake up, don't want to get up kind of morning with the pillow top.
my old girl use to have one of those couch/fold out bed futons. they're plenty soft for a good romping. i reccomend the one with rails or armrests. good for leaning on or holding on to....
a pallet of thick blankets or comforters on the floor is just as good.
