I finally downloaded Eminem's new album...

and I must say; it's the best album the rap game has ever seen. This fucker came back just to inform all the other rappers that he's better than them, and he's right.

For one thing, he kills literally any beat. Half the beats on this album are from 70's rock songs.
Also, he doesn't have a set "flow" like a lot of the mainstream rappers.
And more importantly, he's original, and he's intelligent(albeit super crazy). He personally writes all of his lyrics, and he doesn't just take other people's songs and change it around a little bit. Each song is unquestionably his own.

I almost forgot to mention; the song "Headlights" is a pretty genuine apology to his mother for being such a dirt bag towards her throughout his life, which is long overdue.

I actually avoided listening to this album til now, despite everyone I know telling me I "had to get it," because I don't even like his old shit anymore, even though I used to.
But, this one blows them all away.

I agree 100%. All the kids around here hate the album for some reason. For some reason they are expecting the old Eminem to resurface, which will never happen.

but about the album, this, to me, is his best album lyrically. the whole album just kicks ass in general. I didn't think it was even possible to rhyme some of the words he tackles. I mention on facebook how I believe this album is going to end up as one of the best albums of all time and I just get laughed at. I swear tripping has provided me with a 'better ear' for music over the rest of the people my age around here...its like how can you NOT like MMLP2...its a masterpiece. You can tell he put 110% effort into it.

Agreed.  Eminem is garbage.  He was really creative and good in his early days, even if his lyrics were always too dark and self-absorbed for my tastes.  Now he mails it in for the $$$

Really listen to MMLP2...I don't know how ANYONE could disrespect the work he put into it. Saying that album is garbage and hes mailing it in for the money is just untrue. I understand everyone has their own opinion but actually LISTEN to it. the dude rips it
