Where the Sugarcane, and (probably) Shrooms grow, in Florida

Looks to be near the big lake, Lake Okeechobee, and Palm Beach county..

I was inspired to do this search after reading a magazine about Louisianna Sugarcane fields. Louisianna is loaded with sugarcane.

Sugar cane bagasse is a substrate that would otherwise be agricultural waste.

Yeah, here is a quote from Psilocybe Mushrooms of the World, page 103;

Under the mushroom Psilocybe caerulescens;

"First reported from near Montgomery, Alabama, by Murrill in 1923 on sugarcane mulch, and not redocumented from that locality since."

Psilocybe caerulescens has also (i think only once) reported from the state of Florida.

Nope, haven't tried these places yet..
i'm a good 2-3 hour drive west of the lake..

i'm waiting for mjshroomer or another one of the big-dogs to reply with some answers :smile:

That is the same region were lots of turf farms are. The ones that produce the chlorocystis and the Unknown Pan that we are all picking.
