cool, I was starting to think people forgot about us up here in Wisconsin. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one from this wonderful state.
About good mushroom hunting places, I have found some very good places in the northwoods, Usually just off the edges of farmers fields. Hey we do have alot of farms in this state anyways, just go out into the pastures. BUT DON'T GET CAUGHT.

By the way, there is one area in Wisconsin that is very well known for their magic mushrooms. I have seen it, and can say that the rumor is true. If you do find it, Please just take what you need for yourself, and leave the rest of the magic for future trippers. It is a must, that this area not be desicrated, thus I will not give an exact location, you must find this out for yourself by taking to people and learning through the grapevine as I did, all I will tell you is that is is in Wisconsin. There is one thing that you need to know about mushrooms, when you find a patch, that should be kept a secret from anyone except those whom you really trust, thus it will not be easy to find this place, but when you do it is well worth it.

p.s. try growing some of you own, it is really rather easy

You are probably better off looking on campus. I am an Aussie but from experience in Mad town I know there are some serious hippies around. I picked up peyote buttons once there plus shrooms and acid other times in Madison about ten years ago. There still must be freaks. Does the NORML harvest fest still go there?
As to hitterg I think you may be high. I do not know of any psilocybe in Wisconsin USA.

I am preparred to be corrected though. What types of magics in your sacred area?

We get great copelandia cyanescens and cubensis down under.
see:

You can probably find good cubensis grown indoors and freeze dried in Madtown but you wont find em growing wild and fresh like those.

Later cheesers

Beesly - Do some checking on konosha wisconsin, you may be suprized at what you hear. As to what kind they are, I don't know for sure. They look similar to some liberty caps I got from Washington state, But I am not in the least bit an expert. Honestly, I don't know what strain of mushroom they are, though I do know they are psycoactive. I will try to get pictures, maybe one of you could tell me what strain they are??

That cool hitterg, get us some pictures. I am not an expert on North American Shroomers.I am familiar with sub-tropical varieties. From what I remember from when I was in Wisconsin many years ago the only worthwhile shrooms were grown in vitro. I will not have the chance to be in Wisconsin again as I live 10,000 miles away, 16 hours time difference plus I get all the all the shrooms I want here in Australia. Show us what you find mate. Most all pictures that are posted get identified. Happy hunting

B Brewin

B - One thing I forgot to mention, I don't believe these were naturally growing there in the first place. Rumor has it someone had started growing outdoors very many years ago and just gave up on it, or got busted, noone knows for sure, but that this was what was left of his operation, and they have been growing wild ever since. Do you think this is possible?? I know the mushrooms are there, I just want to know if his crop could survive without proper care?? Like I said all I have heard other wise on it is just rumor.

They definatly would not be copelandia cyanescen nor cubensis as the sub zero Wisconsin winter would destroy the spores that were left from the summer. As to if it possible for some imported cold weather species to survive in Wisc. winter, you better make another post and ask the the blokes who have a more broad knowledge than me, I am just a tripper.. Most important go out and get some pics to post! Everyone likes pics and most all of them get identified.

See ya mate

Have a doobie on the governers office lawn for me come next harvwest fest.
