DampRid without fan drying?

Hello,
My roommate took my box fan since he is in the attic and it gets hot. i dont want to be a dick and ask for the fan back for just drying the shrooms. could i just use DampRid and not fan? Thanks. lxa

I wouldn't recommend it. DampRid is VERY slow and only works well when the mushrooms are already nearly dry. If you don't fan dry for a day or two first, it'll take so long to dry them in the DampRid alone that you risk getting nasty mold growing on your shrooms.

Yes you can. Most of my shrooms are medium to small in size and damp-rid dries them in a couple days. Big fat shrooms might require some fan drying first.

I just use damprid, none of my shrooms so far has been over 8 grams. For the biggest ones it might take 3-4 days to get totally dry. This method works fine for me. I have yet to get any kind of fungus on the shrooms doing this, but if I do I'll start drying by fan a little as well.
