ok, i heard about this guy who lives in a town that is about an 8 hour drive from your house... he has some shrooms drying under a fan, since he has no damp-rid or anything at the moment, he wants to get them dry as possible without it. he decided to leave the shrooms under the fan for a few days, but since he grows in a different place than he lives, he cant check on them often.. is it possible they will rot or anything bad happen with all this air blowing at them constantly for 2,3,4 or even 5 days?

Definitely... I have a nice little fan set up and I've had shrooms in front of a fan for about 3 days... just set it and forget it!

They dry much quicker if you slice em up really thin first.

Not a problem. Several days helps ensure drying. Afterward, using a desiccant is still a wise idea.

I saw some shrooms that are fan drying since 14 days in a relatively dry climate (40%-55% RH) and some are already bone dried .
They were flipped every 12 hours or so and it seems to be a good drying technique.
I heard somewhere that fan drying only is an effective technique for dry climates.
I also read yesterday someone suggesting to use baked rice (30 mins at 350F) as desiccant for impressive results.
I believe it worths a try.
yep!

You don't need to cut them--that exposes much more of the shroom to oxidation, and you don't need to do it for 14 days flipping every 12 hours (or at all), and it doesn't need to be in a dry climate.
I dry mine in a shelf in my closet... I tack the whole shrooms to the wall, and stick my Honeywell Turbofan in front. In such an enclosed space, there would be so much moving air that the humidity isn't even a factor, especially with the fan on high. I got all my shrooms dry in less than 2 days this way.
