Alrighty,Well,Im getting a spore print from a friend down in Florida,and Im planning on trying to cultivate my first batch of Cubensis,but there is only one problem,my mom is pregnant so she is going to be home 24/7,so how in the hell am I supposed to mix up all this shit for my shroomiez.......?hehe!Anyways,I was planning on cutting the steps down a little bit,or well alot,okay heres what I was planning: STEP1-Get Horse dung STEP2-Sterolize horse dung STEP3-Inject Gulf Coast strain Cubensis into dung STEP4-Put dung/spores into a tupperware container with plastic-wrap on top to keep humid STEP5-Hopefully picking mushrooms,hehe
Does anyone think this will work?I know that this is a FAQ by newbies,but Im sort of cut down since I have nowhere to do this but my house and I cant do the whole PF Tek or WBS Tek because my mom is going to be home 24/7,so does anyone think that this will work?Thanks for any replies!Peaceout and HappyCultivating!

Well, I'll just sidestep the ethical issue of producing a schedule I in someone else's house.

You'll need to do a little more than that. You'll need water content and pH to be correct in the dung. Cubes grow best at 6-7, at least before fruiting, but a higher ph will discourage contams. You'll have more success, I expect, if you use some kind of spawn rather than just scraping a print onto some dung.

Good luck and at least consider renting a storage space with electrizity out of respect for your parents

No your way wont work...but a modified version will.
First, if you are as far south as you say, all you need to do is pastuerize, not sterilize.
So the best is the microwave 1 minute per kg (2.2 lbs) uncovered. Or if you boil just do a pillowcase in boiling water for 3-4 minutes only. Last case but still works, take a black garbage bag of poo and leave it in the sun on a hot 80+ day. Bag must be knotted closed.
Then while poo is hot, being sterile in your procedures, you must add someting to give it tiny air pockets so growth can occur. Use rice krispies. Really. Make sure it is a fresh unopened bag inside the box. All big name boxed cereals are manufactured assembly line style and go into the bag steaming hot then are sealed up tight. Add them in a little at a time with the poo 25% RK or so, into a sandwich bag sitting upright. Quickly so the poo stays warm and heat maybe a little steam, comes out of the top of bag. This creates pressure for sterility. As long as you pastuerized, and not sterilized it the spores will live through the heat.
Inject spores into center of poo, the more the merrier, or well quicker at least. Close up bags, zip lock bags, and throw them inbetween your mattresses. Pressure is fine and the heat is just right. Open up after a few weeks for air exchange.

Now TripMeister, we all know you disagree only because he is GROWING IN HIS PARENTS HOUSE. We all know this is the best method for someone GROWING IN THEIR PARENTS HOUSE. We all need to do the proper thing and encourage this tek for all people trying to GROW IN THEIR PARENTS HOUSE.

hanky, i was repying to longshot, as it says right above the time and date. i agree also that one should not grow in thier parent'/some one else's house. i for instance started researching when i lived with my parents and then waited and researched the whole time for 3 years till i had my own place. all that research paid off, ,and i'm growing completley relaxed. and my girlfriend loves watching and anticapating their growth!

The only way to grow in your house would be to buy pre-sterilized jars. or buy a mycobag. You could then inject spores into the bag, let colonize, and case it or spawn to dung. Your method is complete shit, it wont work. Not a good idea to grow shrooms in your house unless your stelth as fuck
