I won't call bullshit because many people stay married in those circumstances.

It's just not usually the intelligent ones.

My divorce took 7 years. Filed through north Carolina.  She wouldn't sign papers because she had twat cancer and a kid (wasnt mine ie: reason for divorce) and she could use my insurance.  3 years after that you have a court date for not having any contact and your paperwork from having her served and it can go through if she doesn't reply in 30 days u are divorced.  But is she contests on the 29th day it starts over, 3 years again and turns out you cant divorce a pregnant woman. Finally she found out my buddy was the father of one of the kids so they wanted to get married and I finally got divorced.
