i have recently coem across some of these. brown slightly purple spore print. white rim on bottom of cap. looks identicle and in teh right spot. pics to come. i am very excited unreported form this province. hopfully more will come with teh rains. only 6 specimens

get pictures. the season is a bit early so naturaly i hope you are solid on your id. have you found this species before?
do you have access to a microsope to distinguish between peliculosa and silvatica?

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

i did not eat them as i onlyy had 6 specimens. i have pasivly seen them in my walks but never id. right now the temp gets down to about 5 or somtimes lower at night. we have shorter seasons than othe rparts of canada. if it is peliculosa or silvitica im not as concerned but i want to add a active mushrooms to this province as there isnt any. soon to come subs.

Look at my photos of P. pelliculosa here inthe same forum. They are extremely rare outside of clearcuts. Maybe one or two only. In a clearcut their can be hundreds of thousands of them.

yea they where beside cut down trees near a spring. only 6 specimens. but the dose is around 20. as soon as i get the program ill post pics. thanks
