So glad he put down that dubstep ... got back to 'roots.'

I agree, sounds a lot like old T.D.

Daft Punk- Random Access Memories.  We're done here.  First album in a minute that made me feel like I had to dose.

Somebody here mentioned this album and claimed it's one of the best this year. They might have even said decade, so far...

I don't know much about it, except almost a perfect 5 star rating on amazon is impressive. Amazon ratings aren't like the ultimate authority or anything. But some of the best records I've heard don't have all the stars filled.

I repeat, I know next to nothing about this album. I'll give it a whirl eventually.

Ultimae has had some pretty epic releases:

Rich high production value psybient, wonderful for trips, meditation, lounging, what have you. I need to check out Daft Punk's new album.

I really liked Starkey's 'Orbits'.  Angel Haze's 'Reservation' is killer.

I think my favorite EP of the year so far was Warsnare's 'Murderous Times'.  Aquadrop's gonna release an amazing EP soon, if it's not already (the single from it just came out, so maybe the whole thing's out- I'm too lazy to check).

The Raven That Refused to Sing by Steve Wilson would have to be my favorite so far. Really looking forward to Dream Theater and MGMT's upcoming self-titled albums in September though.

You say you'd like to see me try, climbing.
You pick the place and I'll choose the time
And I'll climb, the hill in my own way

I look down hearing the sound

Like Boards of Canada, I've never really understood the appeal.
This ^^ one sounds like a softer version of their early stuff, to me.

Maybe it'll grow on me?

Melvins, Autechre, Sunn O had at least
one new release so far, That other u-Ziq (comp) was okay, Ishome,
Kolsch, HVLT, Teleseen, M83, a Locil mix, the live Biosphere release (from 1997?) etc etc.

Edit: oh yeah...Waqs, and Mathias Grassow had decent albums come out this year as well &I like Ultimae Records, too!
