Check out dubstep.fm and tune into the live shows, or check out the archives.  It's a great place for streaming dubstep.

What the hell is dubstep?

I'm listening to that first link now...sounds like bassy rap/electronic or triphop or something. What defines this genre?

A majority of dubstep tunes can be defined by their "wobbly" type basslines as heard in the first post.  That, coupled with their generally slow tempo and echoed lyrics about smoking ganja are a good indication you are listening to dubstep. :thumbup:

There are multiple sounds associated w/ dubstep, it's not just a cut and dried genre, but what I described above has been found in a ton of dub tunes out there.  So yes, it is true.
