Has anyone on hear heard of a voluntary recall on blue watson's 10/500, I've heard it rumored and the new white watsons are SHITTY. IMO nothing compares (as far as hydrocodone goes) to these generic blue watson's except of course brand name, but they are to fucking expensive. I am prescribed lortab 10/500 and very few pharmacies are carrying the old blue watson. The only other ones that even come close to the pain relief you get from these is the pink qualitest. I told my doc. about this a few months ago and he has been working with me as far as going out of his way to call in scripts to diff. pharmacies as long as I do the research and find who is still carrying them. My doc. told me just a few days ago that when I first told him of this problem (I told him you might as well be taking aspirin if u get stuck with the new white watsons and no other brands compare in quality except for pink qualitest) he told me he thought it was all in my head but now he says EVERYONE who gets the new w.w. complains. I've heard that people were reporting allergic reactions to the blue watson that's why the rumored (as my doc. or the pharmacy I'm getting them from says they haven't heard of a voluntary recall). This really fucking sucks as fewer and fewer pharmacies are carrying the old blue ones. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

All I know is those blue watsons are the very best.

I heard they are changing all colored pills to white. So that they don't attract children as easily.

I wouldn't mind except I got some white watsons from a friend with a script, they are usually the

"Green Beans" from experience these, and the name brand Vicodin are the best as far as hydro's go

However somehow the white ones are total shit. They changed more than the colour.

Warning tho, online they still come up as colored. So I don't think this is a very widespread thing.

But I also know they're not fake.

I wonder what makes them different from each other if its the same active ingredient :shrug: Im not denying this claim though, because I had the same issue with another medication... There were 2 different generic brands, both were IR, but one of the pills were tougher than the other. I could break one with my fingers, but the other one I needed a knife because the pill itself was very hard. And even though they were both the SAME chemical and both generic, the harder pill worked a lot better for me!!! In my case I think it has to do with my stomach. Because I get too much stomach acid, I think the softer pill is dissolving too quick, while the other pill is still probably dissolving while its going through my intestines.. But I have no clue!!!!

Binders & fillers sometimes have more of an effect on people than they realize.

A few years ago I almost seized out because the formula of my xanax changed.

I have tried a recent white Watson 10 but that was mixed with a yellow and 2 pinks. I can tell you I was in fact fucked up, and 30 mg's usually doesn't fuck me up...so I dunnooooo

What was the difference between the two? And are you sure the close call siezure was from using benzos? or trying to stop cold turkey? In my case, I think the reason the one pill worked better than the other pill had something to do with my personal body chemistry.

I've been on the same dose for over a decade. It was some serious business =/

People react differently to different binders and fillers (as it appears in both our cases). It's also why you'll see "percocet is better than roxicet" and related threads all over the boards.

Yeah the binders in a certain manufacturer's generic adderall makes me feel sick.

Also makes me completely unfocused, and lethargic while semi-tweaked feeling.

It happens to a lot of people  who take that generic. It also sucked Intranasaly.

Well, with the watsons its not the coloring having an effect.
Its the purity of the actual hydrocodone in the pill.
A lot of the white generic hydrocodone pills are made in mexico. They don't test purity the same way, which means that the potency will land wherever it will.

I know this, for eating two of the watsons, I'd have to eat five of the white.
I enjoyed hydromorphone the best though.
Too good. Too good for the human brain. I don't recommend it

I've never done hydromorphone, but what my doc says the prob. cause is the diff. in the binders and fillers (I was thinking more along the lines of what u said Oeric McKenna) but I'm no doctor. I just know the white Watson's don't do shit for me as I am prescribed them for severe back and hip pain and they DO NOT take the pain away at all. But I also take them as prescribed so I guess if I get stuck with the white ones again I'll have to try upping the dose but that's not worth a fuck as I actually need these to get around and I would run out b4 next refill (not to mention the damage it can do to my liver, I know I could always do a cwe but fuck, I shouldn't have to be worried about doing all this just give me the ones that work). And it's also funny you say they make them in mexico which I totally belief because the script for the blue ones cost me ten bucks more! The FDA needs to get there shit together on this one quick, but u know they don't give a fuck because I'm sure they think along the lines as fuck em anyone who takes these are just drug addicts anyway.

Yeah man. Honestly, the testing on the Mex product is for the presence of the compound but not the purity or concentration of such. Good amount of useless asprin tho!

What pain do you have? bad back?

Yes, that and I had surgery on my hip, as a matter of fact 1 year ago today I was just getting released from the hospital for the surgery on my hip, I couldn't hardly walk (they had to rehab me using a walker like old people use). The rehab people would ask me what kind of recovery I expected to make and I would tell them 100% and they would be like no way(I'm only in my mid thirties there was no fuckin way I was going to spend the rest of my life using a walker). Well 1 year later I walk fine as long as I have meds. that take away the pain, that's why I'm so pissed over this b.s. with the good hydros as my doc. doesn't want to up me to oxycodone, he has been my doc. since I was a kid and says he doesn't want to get me addicted to anything worse than he is already prescribing me. So I guess he is just watching out for me but fuck if they quit making the good blue Watson's something is gonna have to change as I do manual labor in my work and have to be able to work which would be very diff. w/out the meds. I was thinking of going on social security when I first got out but thought no I'm not going out like that and have made about an 80% recovery and am back to work.

Yeah, they changed the yellow watson 853s to white.  I haven't noticed any difference in the effects though :shrug:

I just had 4 white Watson 540's today. No difference in effect at all. Felt great
