Some of the older members may know of the tragic death of LorTab.

Anyway he frequented the www.tokeup.com forums as well, more often than he was here aside from IRC.

I was just there and saw this post made by LorTabs sister I thought id post it for everyone who was friends with him here:

I'm sorry it took so long for me to write about Matt (LorTab). The last two and a half years have been very difficult for our family. He was my big brother. I wanted to tell all of you what really happened to him. I always saw him on this site and I also saw the comments you made about him.
I'm not sure whether it was the drugs he was using or whether he was beginning to suffer from scitzophrenia, which is in our family. He was seeing things that weren't there and had had enough of his long battle with drugs. On July 21, 2005 at about 5pm, he found our mom's shotgun and shot himself in the stomach. My mom was at work and I was on a trip to California. He had planned to do it when no one was home. He called 911 and was brought to the emergency room. He died at about 10pm. He was burried at Forest Park Cemetary in Houston, Texas on Westheimer Parkway if you want to visit him. He left no suicide note.

He was the best big bother anyone could have. He was born February 14, 1985 as Matthew Glen Masters. He had green eyes, long blond hair and was very tall and slim. He was very intelligent and kind. He loved to laugh and watch tv and talk on this website.

My family and I are touched that all of you care so much for him. I'm sure he is very grateful to have known all of you. God bless...

Suicide to me is selfish. Tragic though still not a drop of sympathy beyond his mental misery w/e, I despise suicidal route/solution. My mother attempted an OD for attention when it backfired leaving her in a coma fortunately short lived with smaller chance of brain damage short/long term. Really hurts...

Truly though i'am sorry for your loss it must be devastating.

I might leave some buds on his grave next time i'm in H-Town.
I didn't really talk to him, but he's a shroomerite. Feels like a member of the family died or something, you know?

I didn't know him, I think it was before my time, but that is so sad. It's kind of cool that he at least is being remembered by so many people after he is gone.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.
