Dosing amounts with different strains

I am hoping that one of the resident mycophiles can attempt to answer a question for my friend concering dosage of psilocybin mushrooms.
My friend has grown his own mushrooms twice now.

The first batch that he grew were the psilocybe cubensis variety known as "B+". Those mushrooms were moderate to large in size and were very potent. My friend found that only three of them were needed for a full-blown psychedelic experience.

His second batch were the psilocybe cubensis variety known as "PES Hawaiian," and he tells me that the size of these mushrooms ranged from tiny to small (about half the size of the B+ mushrooms) and he is not sure how many he should take.

My friend knows that potency varies from mushroom to mushroom and that all sorts of factors, such as growing conditions and species, effect the amount of psilocybin present.

Does anyone on here have specific experience with dosing with the two strains mentioned above, and if so, could you recommend to my friend how many of the tiny PES Hawaiians he should take for a threshold experience similar to that he had with the B+ mushrooms? (My friend says that he has no way to measure gram weights by the way).

If you dont have a scale, just try to judge a close weight. ex. 3 big B+ is equal to appx. 6 or whatever smaller shrooms.

I have a scale myself but I dont ever measure my personal doses. I just eat a few, then the feeling I get from my throat and stomache and relative experiences tells me; eat 1 more 'this size' or maye 3 more 'this smaller size' and I know everytime how hard I want to trip and how much more/less I need.

Most people wouldnt recommend this, but Ive had years experience. If all else fails, go use the supermarket scales:) And btw, theres no diff in potency(likely) between the two strains so just try to eat a like amount. Experiment!

yeah, dont go weigh your shrooms in the supermaket, definately a bad idea. they do sell small scales in supermarkets however, and i believe they go down to the gram, youd have to check it out.

get whats called a fingerscale, costs about 4-5 bucks.. every pawn shop around here has em as well as exchange places. i believe some jewelry stores might have them as well. however, if you want it to be perfectly acurate go to your local head shop and pick up a digital scale.

There're relatively cheap scales that weigh out up to about 10 g and are -extremely- accurate; they're used for weighing gems and such and cost about $13.

I'm all for shortcuts, but in this case ... don't be an extremely cheap bastard, 'cause this is something you want to be accurate.  :smile:

The digis in head shops are WAAAYY to expensive. If you get a digi get it off the net.
